I have damaged frizzy hair and dont know if getting a straighter would be a good idea, I mean doesn't all that heat mess up your hair more, and possibly cause hair loss.

I mean already i have been losing hair without using a straightener, because of so much damage i even had to put a raw egg on my hair.

So what should I do? I am even going to the doctor to see if I am lacking any vitamins or what I can do to prevent the frizz and hair loss.

So that way i can have those hairstyles I mentioned.Get a hair straightener for these styles or stick to just shampoos and conditioners for anti frizz?
First note that anti-frizz products alone just wont do it, to stop frizz you need to start in the shower

You need to use a natural shampoo that does not dry out your hair. You see shampoos contain SLS which dry up your hair, the result is frizz!

Some conditioners are good and have special silicones and conditioners which tend to tame and put down your hair cuticle-thereby stopping the frizz.

The very best way however is to use powerful hair oil like Mira hair oil

It is a herbal hair oil treatment that conditions you hair and keeps it healthy and nourished

Use it two times a week. Doing this will stop the drying out process that causes hair frizz to begin with

  • Does anyone know a dependable way to repair and style curly, frizzified hair? shampoos, conditioner, gels ect?

i have this crazy curly hair, that i really love- but it's a bittersweet adoration. i can never get just the right texture and curl- either it's super shiny, defined curls and nastily crunchy, or impossible, frizzy, but soft and natural, i would love a happy medium. thanks so much for your replies!Does anyone know a dependable way to repair and style curly, frizzified hair? shampoos, conditioner, gels ect?
use the john frieda range for your hair - frizz ease to control the frizz, and their smoothing shampoo/conditioner, and mousse.Does anyone know a dependable way to repair and style curly, frizzified hair? shampoos, conditioner, gels ect?
The best way... go to a salon, and get a conditioning shampoo. you can't limit yourself to one product, such as mousse. You must use several... mousse to blow dry and/or scrunch with, a shine spray, then finish up with a finishing spray. i'm a hair stylist. you may want to try some ';biolage- smoothing serum'; works wonders. one of my favourites, the paul mitchell:express style- worked up, and i really like the sebastian or paul mitchell finishing sprays. good luck!
    ever heard of a razor?

lot's of celebs and jocks do it
Definitely...There are so many out right now.

It can be really fun. Try adding product to your hair when it's wet, before you comb it out, and after it's dry, before you run your fingers through it, or possibly a comb. Be careful, it creates friction...which creates frizz. Some leave in conditioners help get rid of the crunchy factor, (ie.Sexy hair concepts or Tigi), when used in conjunction with a curling creme or spray.

    ...Cosmetologist =o)
Redken Ringlet 07 is the best for curly hair..no matter what type of curls you have it makes them ringlets. it doesnt make hair hard, it shines and smells great. would definitely give it a try.
I have pretty much the same hair type,so I see where you are coming from there! A few tips that I have picked up along the way...

    - Use a good quality hair conditioner, curly hair tends to be dry by nature so will respond well to a good conditioner. My faves at the moment are Tigi 'Curls Rock' Conditioner and Joico 'Moisturise'.

    - Leave the conditioner in your hair for as long as possible in the shower and afterwards rinse it out in cold water.... as cold as you can tolerate it Hot water tends to make your hair frizz otherwise

    - After washing it, wrap it in a towel but avoid rubbing it etc as it tends to make it go a little on the frizzy side!

    - Use a hair mousse designed for curly hair... I'd definitely use the Frizz Ease stuff- it rocks!

Apart from that I'd just say see a good hairdresser who understands curly hair, as the way it is cut/ layered etc makes a big difference to how manageable it is. I also tend to keep it at a reasonable length as I find if it gets too long that weight of it tends to pull the curl downwards making it seem more frizzy than curly.

    Good Luck! :)

Oh and I'm also interested in any other tips that people have!
I have long, thick curly hair; and for what seemed forever I had tried looking for the perfect solution to tame my unruly mane. After trying literally every hair product available, I found that these products were absolutely the best, and will give you the best satisfactory results:

#1: Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for frizzy hair Kerastase has the best products in our opinion for curly hair. Their Nutritive Bain Elasto-Curl Shampoo is praised by beauty experts for its intense moisturizing properties. It will soften coarse, curly hair while enhancing your natural curl without letting it get frizzy on you.

For conditioners, go the Kerastase route again, with its Nutritive Masquintense conditioner:

Best hair-styling cream Creams are a must for calming flyaways while boosting shine. We love Ojon Conditioning Finishing Paste. This product works great on dry hair. Simply rub a bit between your hands then palm over your curly hair.

#3. Best shine serums for curly hair Smooth frizz %26amp; flyaways with a great shine serum. A great less-expensive project (about $6) is Neutrogena Triple Moisture Healing Shine Serum:

A medium-price gloss to try is Bumble %26amp; Bumble 'DeFrizz'

A great-but-pricey gloss is Rene Furterer Spray Gloss:

#4. Best relaxing balms Another great way to tame coarse, flyaway hair is to use a relaxing balm. You'll love these lightweight textures that won't leave hair feeling greasy:

PhytoDefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm. This relaxing balm is considered a must-have in every stylist's kit, according to InStyle magazine's 'Best Beauty Buys' 2006 issue.

We also like KMS Flat-Out Relaxing Balm

#5. Best styling gel for curly hair The pros say Senscience Smooth Gelee ($13, call 800-626-3684) is perfect for taming coarse, curly hair. It's also great when blow-drying or ironing hair straight. You'll find it won't make hair stiff, a bad effect of using many gels.

No perm or professional relaxer will do the miracle work of these products! Try each one and see which one you like the best.

My Little sister got a bad hair cut...she hates it any shampoos are styles to help it?

Ok she got a hair cut i hate it a so dose she has relly relly short bangs.... is there any shampoos that would make it grow faster or any styles that woul helpMy Little sister got a bad hair cut...she hates it any shampoos are styles to help it?
It depends on what type of hair she has. If she dosen't like her bangs, she can clip them back. Here are some general hairstyles that make any type of hair look cute!

    1. Pigtails--

I know these may seem childish, but they are coming back in style. Not high pigtails, but low ones.

    2.A bun--

Put your hair up in a ponytail, but then pull it through once more, but not all of the way. Keep it in the bun.

    3. Braid--

A loose braid off to the side is very sexy. Even better - a french braid.

    4. Half - N - Half --

Take the top layer of your hair and clip it up, while leaving the bottom half down. This works really well with thick hair.

I hope those suggestions helped!! All of these hairstyles keep your hair out of your face, they're easy to do, and they look great! My Little sister got a bad hair cut...she hates it any shampoos are styles to help it?
try curly hair that should be cute for a little girl
No bu you is her hair cut short?
I would use some volumizing products right now to help it look nice. Take tips from alyssa milano who makes the icky grow out period look hot. Try these products to help her hair grow faster:

Doo Gro Stimulating Shampoo or Surge Plus 14 Spray. Both work really well...especially the spray which is very convenient and a good leave in conditioner also. You can check out the website below for a picture of the Surge Product on the slide show.
Just fluff up the bangs and bit and brush em to the side like Nicole Ritchie.

Does anyone has any good shampoos/style serums/etc. that get rid of dry hair, split ends, etc?

    im thinking about bed head.

    anyone agree?

    if so be specific. :]

thanks.Does anyone has any good shampoos/style serums/etc. that get rid of dry hair, split ends, etc?
Ok so.... nothing but a trim will ';get rid of'; split ends.... sad but true. I am a cosmetologist and trust me I have tried everything!

But the good news is there is something I do to mine and it really helps....

Add any of these natural oils, like avocado, coconut, jojoba or olive oil to your hair. This can be a great conditioning regime to do prior to shampooing the hair.

Place any of the above mentioned oils into the hair and place the hair in a bun for about 20 minutes. Wrap your hair under a plastic cap covered by a warm/hot towel (the warmer the better) for added conditioning. You'll find that your hair will be more revived and manageable.

This works better than any product on the market..... always follow with a good conditioner.

I like bed head, a lot, but my favorite is Biolage, I love their whole line, but I really like the conditioning balm. makes your hair feel and smell great, especially if you use it after the treatment above.Does anyone has any good shampoos/style serums/etc. that get rid of dry hair, split ends, etc?
Yes I know what you might need, for shampoo is GARNIER FRUCTIS , FOR DRY DAMAGED HAIR, AND USE LOREAL VIVE CONDITIONER SMOOTH-INTENSE.AND WHEN DRY U CAN PUT THIS STUFF ON THE ENDS CALLED SILK THERAPY ,WORKS ----And u can put it thru your hair as well....
    use redken products....
There are so many shampoos and conditioners , mousse, hot oil treatments every where , find some and use them..
First you must cut off the split ends, then put on a good hot oil treatment or a good conditioner. Get your ends trimmed on a monthly basis. Can not give out any product names...
I use Redken products on my clients. Please, do NOT use Pantene...terrible for your hair. You can wax a floor with it if you wanted, lol. If your hair is extremely dry or thick you can use Smooth Down. It's Redken's heaviest shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is sort of ';normal'; use All Soft or their new product Clear Moisture. Clear Moisture seems to add just enough moisture. Try a deep conditioner. You don't have to pay big bucks for that either. Sitting online answering yahoo questions? Slather your hair up with a condition and try putting a plastic cap on it to help retain any little bit of heat you can get! Go about your business as long as possible and then wash it out. For split ends, depending on the rate of your hair's growth you need to wait NO longer than 6 weeks for a trim. Ang getting only a 1/2 inch is fine! If you can wash your hair every other day, do it. If it's greasy don't, but washing it more than once a day depletes hair of it's moisture and natural oils.
I really good hair serum is Biosilk.

Put it on towel dried hair and style.

Make sure you dont put it too close to the scalp though or it it will make your hair oily.

    =)
DO NOT USE THE NEW SUNSILK STUFF!! it dried out my hair sooooo bad that it was breaking!! use garnier fructis
ok use avaocdo oil or live oil it will get rid of ur dry hair for sure my hair use to be dry and it had no shine then i used olive oil and my hair beacme sofet and shiny and the wern't dry and i din't have spit ends but i heard it aso gets rid of split ends ur hair becomes healty by using olive or avocado or mustard oil u should apply it three times per week so ur hair can be healty again this really works even professainl ahir styist recommend this for dry or damged hair and for split ends get a trim every week

In a prison style tattoo can homeade ink made of carbon from plastic n' shampoo harm your health once put in u?

well,me and my friend got bad tattoos done by a homeade gun and ink made out of plastic melted to make carbon to scrape off the plastic to give you a fine black powder and then mixed with clear shampoo. Are there any harmfull effects this could have on your body if tattoed into the skin?In a prison style tattoo can homeade ink made of carbon from plastic n' shampoo harm your health once put in u?
Very dangerous. Tell your parents, you must be underage for doing something so stupid, and have them take you to a dermatologist. That was a pretty poor decision. I would be surprised if your body actually holds it, you may reject it when it heals. In a prison style tattoo can homeade ink made of carbon from plastic n' shampoo harm your health once put in u?
umm anything that is foreign and enters the dermis is potentially deadly, even ink, but yes especially to your particular cocktail, polymers used to make any type of plastic can potentially cause cancer and shampoo is even bad for your hair because is changes the pH but then again anything in this world can potentially kill us, even the food we eat, so it does not really matter
Shampoo under your skin sounds dangerous to me...

Also in prison im pretty sure they use indian ink to tattoo...

Use Loreal Paris Vive Pro (in the pink bottle) It gets rid of friz, another tip is don't shampoo, it will keep your hair from frizzing.

    Heres how you style it.

I live in florida to, my hair never gets frizzy. Florida has nothing to do with it.

I believe you should also shave it off :]

They look stupid, I thought the ';goal'; was to have it ugly and teased anyways? So why are you worried about friz in the first place?

Anyways- a good shampoo for no frizz is paul mitchell super skinny. It's a little expensive but it works good and that's why my hair doesnt friz in florida.

What is your favorite organic shampoo, conditioner and style product for curly hair?

I have medium lenth medium curls and I am never satisfied. i like my aubrey's organics tropical something can't remember the name for dry frizzy hair but the giovanni leave in conditioner just isn't doing it for my hair. %26gt;.%26lt; I have only used half the bottle. i feel like dumping it down the drain so that i have a reason to buy more. does organic hair gel work better than non organic? I haven't tried any yet since i switched to organic 2 years ago. I always used moose when i wasn'y organic but all the organic moose i find is volumizing and since i have curly hair i don't want it even more poofy. whats your opinions? What is your favorite organic shampoo, conditioner and style product for curly hair?
i use paul mitchells tea tree. its organic and not expensive and it doesnt lather which is good because lather actually damages your hair and especially for curly hair, the lemon sage from paul mitchells tea tree whould probably work because it makes it LESS poofy but not dry or anythingWhat is your favorite organic shampoo, conditioner and style product for curly hair?
Try any of the herbal essence ones i also have medium length curls, but they also have one specific type made for curls and its in a purple bottle but i forgot what it was called [herbal essence brand though]

ALSO when using leave in conditioner put it in atleast three times a day to get rid of frizz all day and try the sunsilk or garnier frutis leave in conditioners
I try to use organic/natural products also, but my hair is way different then yours. I say shop around, I like the stuff from Etsy.com, some of the sellers are really good at making the beauty stuff. I haven't found very good mousse or hair spray that is natural/organic, but I usually just skip it. I kind of just want to say, use the regular mousse, if it is working better. :)
You could try Aveda's Be Curly line. Aveda has organic and natural ingredients.

i work at a salon and we use biologe the hydrationg shampoo and this conditioner from WELLA called hydromask for curly hair because it conditons, hysrates and leaves haiir shiny. however if you don't want to spend that much ausiie 3 minute miricle or this other 1 (they have like 10 different kinds, personally i cant tell the difference) for conditoner and garnier fructis the hydrating one for shampoo (sometimes if our order of shampoo hasn't arrived we use this however the shiny one coused residue on thick hair so use the hydrationg one)

I love Biolage but Redken's Smooth Down line is good too.
The salons mix up stuff so theres not really a straight answer for this. but try mixing your two favorite shampoos together. or add Tea Tree oil to your shampoo. that adds the shine. i put baby oil in a spray bottle and just spray when im done and it works great!
Garnier is amazing for any type of hair, it turns curly hair from frizz to shiny curls, and it smells really good! Also Pantene but I'm not sure about the smell.

What kind of shampoo should i use for this hair style?

so i want to get my hair cut like this :

    http://www.imageandstylenews.com/wp-cont鈥?/a>

but normally i use all the shampoos and conditioners that make ur hair really soft and smooth, but idk if that would be good to help maintain that style. so if anybody has any recommendations for a shampoo and conditioner. one that is good for my hair, but would help me keep that style. thanks!!What kind of shampoo should i use for this hair style?
the shampoo and conditioner should not matter too much, but when you get it cut make sure you get the products she used on you. such as a texturizing paste. If you try these, and your hair is still too soft to hold the texturized look, try shampooing but with no conditioner afterward. maybe just condition your hair once a week because that is what makes your hair so soft after the shower.

I always just get a shampoo, straigten @ my salon what other style would work?

I know that Allure and Glamor both publish books So you could get the tips you need and the magizine feel you want so you don't have to read lots of small counfusicg text. Shampoo and Conditioner Drugstore Style.?

I'm looking for a new shampoo and conditioner.

I'm looking for something thats good for overall healthiness. I was thinking Aussie Hair Insurance, Aussie Opposites Attract (whats this MOSTLY for? It looks like something to cleanse buildup type, then help keep hair looking good after styling. Is that right?

    Which do you think?

What I really want is something that is good for overall healthiness (because my hair is pretty healthy. It's not real greasy, dry, or anything.) and something to make sure I don't get any buildup.

Is there a drugstore type of shampoo and conditioner that does all this? Or do I have to get one kind for healthiness, then a different shampoo for buildup removal?

    Thanks!

And please don't say to ditch the drugstore ones, because it's definitely coming from there.

Also, if you have other recommendations from a drugstore, they'd help too!

Don't say Pantene, because I've used it before, and HATE it.

  • My short hair is impossible to style!! Can anyone recommend a good stylying product &/or shampoo?

I always get myself a short haircut and would like to get a good 'messy style' but I'm finding it near impossible! Currently I'm using American Crew Fibre to style my hair and just like the 100 or so other products I've tried over the years.....it's just not working how I want it to.

What happens is, everytime I towel dry my hair and style it using the American Crew, I can't get it messy as such.....it just looks all dry, knotted and everything is in the wrong place. I have tried having my hair dry up then apply the wax and have also tried different amounts of wax but nothing is working.

I'm starting to think it may be down to my shampoo/conditioner. Over the years I've tried dozens and no matter what, my hair is always unmanagable and dry. Dandruff has always been a problem too.

Can anyone recommend a good combination of shampoo/ conditioner /hairwax (or gel or whatever)?? I don't mind spending a bit or money to do the job right!

Thanks. Dave.My short hair is impossible to style!! Can anyone recommend a good stylying product %26amp;/or shampoo?
use the same products you have now, however, use heat with them.

blow dry your hair the way you like it. apply product (only a tiny little itty bitty bit). and blowdry it in using your fingers to put your hair into place (use the palm of your hand and rub in circles).

if you have really fine hair that goes straight down you might need to get it cut with a razor for extra texture.

try not using conditionerMy short hair is impossible to style!! Can anyone recommend a good stylying product %26amp;/or shampoo?
    for the hair STYLING, definetly use Pantene Pro-V. i PROMISE you that they have what you need for your ';messy style';

for the DANDRUFF, use Head %26amp; Shoulders. Cheap and smells nice =D

after taking your shower, towel dry your hair and evenly apply some TRESemme ';Clean Hold Gel'; it doesnt even look like you have gel, and makes your hair look super good. shake it up a lil when your done!
Munipulator by: bedhead the stuff will rock your world I always use it on my short hair clients!
Check up AVON coz they have lot of advanced techniques for hair-styling and also moisturisers which could possibly help you best. See their new catalogue listed here and set up a date with a professional advisor or shop online at www.avon.com. it will also cost you less.
    Dave,

It's a problem. I have tried them all (including American Crew)

love their shampoo. The one that works for me is not a gel but a mousse from Pantene.

    Try it and good luck.
i think that garnier is really good product. try it out, i rate it 5/5
if you don't mind sending the money go to a really good salon and ask them they should advise you on the best products for your hair and good luck
Garnier fructis style is the way to go. With fruit microwaxes and smoothing techniches, my hair is smooth, soft and easy to style. They have Shampoos, conditioners, hair gel of different kinds! GO FOR IT!

I asked this question in vegan and vegitarian because the shampoo i use is always either vegan or vegitarian and i beleive if you can't eat it then why put it on your skin so thats the food and drink part. What is your favorite organic shampoo, conditioner and style product for curly hair?
I use a brand called J/A/S/O/N. It's geared towards animal lovers -- It's not tested on animals, and it's totally natural and organic and smells so ridiculously good.

And they make tons of varieties. I think they may even market it at Wal-Mart, so it's easily accesible to everyone. : ]What is your favorite organic shampoo, conditioner and style product for curly hair?
try deva curl its wonderful im pretty sure they do no animal testing! aslo it has no sulfites so it doesn't lather but it makes your hair look awesome! good lcuk!

For men with curly hair, what looks better, just shampooing or using some sort of styling gel?

Depends on the girl, and it also depends on your personal sense of style. Using a product on your hair can help control the curls a bit, but you can use product and make it appear more natural. If you have shorter curly hair, try putting a small but of moose or gel ( if your hair stands up well on it's own, use gel. if you need more volume, use moose) in you hair and working through well. use a blowdryer and work with the curls. it will give you a very natural look. if you have more questions, feel free to IM me or e-mail me. Yes, one of my friends has a hairspray (It comes in gel and hairspray) that is called Curl Booster. It instantly tightens limp lifeless locks, creates lavish curls. You can get it at a target or a Kmart or almost any Pharmacy for $10.00 a pack. (Two 6fl oz bottles come in a pack.)

Bain Vital from Kerestase, the moisture range... is stunning for thick curly hair.

Math question help? the price of a shampoo cut and style?

    is $22

you get a 20% tip from each customer and the owner pays you 1/4 of each jobs cost. on a typical day you give shampoos cuts and styles to 12 customers,

how much can you expect to earn for yourself on such a day?

    i'll pick a best answer

:DMath question help? the price of a shampoo cut and style?
    22 divided by 20% = Z

    Z x 12 = Y

    22 divided by 25% = X

    X x12 = W

Y + WMath question help? the price of a shampoo cut and style?
With all due respect to the other answerer, you do not get $22 in addition to the other payments. You get fractions of that $22

    .2*22 = $4.4

    .25*22 = $5.5

    5.5 + 4.4 = 9.9

    9.9(12) = $118.8
$396. that means they get 71,280 dollars for 180 days. is that a lot?
(12*22/4) = your cut from the cuts :-)

    (12*22/5) = your tips

    264/4 + 264/5 = 66 + 52.80 = $118.80
    22(0.20) + 22(1/4) = 9.9

    9.9(12) = $118.80
i think it might be like 118.80

    20% of 22 is 4.40

    1/4 of 22 is 5.50 add them..

    9.90 times 12

    118.80.
most salons pay a hourly wage plus tips now. Only big big salon that charge $100.00 for a haircut still work on percentages. and most of them have gone to hourly because they can pay minimum wage with is about $6.85 nationally in USA
    $118.80

    $52.80 tips

    $66 from owner
    price of cut + style = $22

    20% tip = 22*20% = $4.40

    pay = 1/4 * $22 = $5.50

    12 customers

    12*tip + 12*pay =

    12*4.40 + 12*5.50 = 52.8 + 66 = 118.8
Honestly- Idk Go to purplemath.com and search your question. I appoligise and I really hope I help.

Are hair extensions made of human hair and can they be shampooed and styled like regular hair?

also, how long do they last and how much do they cost and do they have to match the existing hair color? Are hair extensions made of human hair and can they be shampooed and styled like regular hair?
Having human hair extensions is a highly unethical way of promoting beauty. The glue used to stick a piece of someones dead hair to your vain head will ruin your natural hair over time and no you can't treat it like your normal hair becacuse if you don't use the correct products and you strighten/curl the hair or the hair is exposed to heat/sun/water they will be ruined. It also causes problems when your out and people laugh at you because they can see the glue, you get called fake and it's really funny when they drop out.Are hair extensions made of human hair and can they be shampooed and styled like regular hair?
The cost will depend on your hairstylist and yes it is human hair, and there are few ways to have them put in, another question for your hairstylist, shampoo, condition it like you would you regular hair, and it depends on your natural hair how long they can be kept in..Depends on your hair elasticity and protien-but if you want your extensions colored, have it done before the extensions go in, or else it will cost you more in the end.
extensions are made from several materials, including human hair. (there is also synthetic hair) what kind of hair you use for your extensions depends on how much you are willing to pay for them, and what type of look you desire.

again, depending on the desired style and method used, it would vary how long they last. weaving lasts from 8-12 weeks, with a touch-up about every 4 weeks. fusions last anywhere from 2-6 months, depending on how you maintain them. the price ranges from 200-1500 dollars, depending on your demographics (where you live). and finally, no, you don't have to match your natural hair color, but i looks better.

try a multidimensional look if you don't want your existing color.
yes, they can be shampooed and styled like regular hair.

the period of time they last depends on how well you look after them.

wash them in pantene once a month and they'll last a very long time.

yes, your hairdresser can do the matching for you.

pure vibe it is in an orange bottle available @target
I love Biolage but Redken's Smooth Down line is good too.
The salons mix up stuff so theres not really a straight answer for this. but try mixing your two favorite shampoos together. or add Tea Tree oil to your shampoo. that adds the shine. i put baby oil in a spray bottle and just spray when im done and it works great!
Garnier is amazing for any type of hair, it turns curly hair from frizz to shiny curls, and it smells really good! Also Pantene but I'm not sure about the smell.

John Freida Frizz Ease It will keep your hair from getting frizzy and will protect it if you straighten it. It keeps your hair soft too! If you get it make sure you get steps 1 shampoo, 2 conditioner, and step 3 frizz control
    Dove definitely!
Tresemme is the perfect product. Although you must remember that when you wash your hair and blow dry too much heat can break your hair. So the solution is not what product you use but the way it is being treated. That means always put grease or oil sheen to keep the moisture and blow dry the hair on low heat.
I have been using Redken products and they are great!! They have one that is for fine hair to build body, one for color treated hair and one that is called all soft that does wonders for over styled hair. I also blow dry my hair every day and I use a curling iron just on the ends to give them some shape.Good luck!! I think you can only buy these products thru a hair care professional-like at a salon.

Use a hair mask once a week to moisturize your hair. I use one from prairie naturals called badlands extreme hair repair. It is made with natural moisturizers that will condition your hair.

I have really curly, poofy, frizzy and somewhat thick hair. What are some good styles/shampoos for my hair?

I need major hair help! Whenever I straighten my hair it looks the same and is still poofy but totally fried/dried out. I don't want to get it chemically treated. What are some good tips, styles, and shampoos/conditioners?I have really curly, poofy, frizzy and somewhat thick hair. What are some good styles/shampoos for my hair?
Hi, I'm a stylist and I too have very thick curly hair that is hard to manage. I'll give you a few tips and products that are wonderful to use.

First of all chemically treating your hair is NOT a good idea. The chem. straighteners look good for a little bit, but as soon as it starts to grow out, you have fuzz at the roots then straight the rest of the way. You need to invest in a good quality flat iron, such as Chi or Paul Brown, both are amazing. They heat up to about 400 degrees and are ceramic plated so they will not burn or fry your hair. Matrix has a great product that you can use in your hair before you flat iron it, and it's called: Sleek.Look Iron Smoother. It's wonderful as well.

As far as what kind of Shampoo and Conditioner to use, I do not recommend 2in1. It leaves something to be desired to say the least. If you intend on using different products in your hair throughout the week, you need something to get all of that build-up from the products out of your hair. Redken has several lines of Shampoo and Conditioner that are great for Oily, Dry, Colored, Blonde, and Red hair. I highly recommend these. The best is AllSoft. Keeps dry brittle hair very smooth.

Now, as for wearing your hair curly. I know this doesn't sound very 'professional' but the best thing I've found for curly hair is a product that Wal-Mart carries, and it's called Dep 10 or Dep 11.

When geling my hair I always start with a small section at the bottom and pin the rest up. Put an ample amount in that section of hair and scrunch it up with the towel and then blow dry it. Let another section down, add gel, scrunch with the towel, and blow dry it. So on and so on. I blow dry completely because you get the wet dog look if you leave it wet and let it dry stuck to your head... now that's a beautiful disaster!

Listen, I hope this helps. Also, if you would like any products that I've told you about I don't care to get them for you in 1 gallon bottles at Salon Cost. Just e-mail me at jessica.cope@yahoo.com Thanks, and again, hope this helps!

p.s. I do not recommend Curl.Life by Matrix... it stinks and leaves your hair weighed down really bad!I have really curly, poofy, frizzy and somewhat thick hair. What are some good styles/shampoos for my hair?
MEE TOO. my hair is exactly like yours. okay i use herbal essence new collection none of your frizziness , shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner. and i also switch off with the hello hydration line, when i have dry hair. use some moose and a touch of hairspray and your all set.. GOOD LUCKKK
If you have the money , Call around your local salons and find someone how can give you a slice cut . Use super skinny shampoo and conditioner and super skinny serum .Also a good flat iron makes the most difference (magic ionic or metropolis ) make the best. Tip never stop the iron on you hair comb behind it and take small sections . Good luck As for the answer below all flat irons reach 420 Celsius if made out side the us but were on he standard syteme so flat iron made in the USA only read 210 F , 420 F would put your hair on fire
yea my hair is just like that too!, but dont worry i used to HATE my hair before, i would spend a lot of money togo and straighten it, but now i LOVE my hair, and im happy with it. What i do is use a LOT of moose and gel! it works! it will make you pretty curls! and play with your hair! i dont know xD! like tie it really high but leave 2 or 1 curls at the side, just play with your hair till you find what you want!
go to a person who knows more about hair no offense but I don't know about hair that much bye.
Your hair sounds like mine and Ican't blowdry mine either, for the same reason. Try leave-in conditioner, and get some short layers around your face for a nice style.
I have the same type hair. I have started using Garnier Fructis Anti-Frizz serum. It is sort of oily. It is in a round small bottle with a pump on the top. When you dry your hair, massage this oil in, especially on the ends. Comb through good. Then run a flat iron over it and you'll have straight hair that is shiny. It's really worth more than the 4.99 it sells for.
What you should do is use 2 in 1 shampoo which has shampoo and conditioner in it. Use the stuff that says its for frizzy, dry hair. Then, after rinsing out that, try using a very strong conditioner. I know one brand like Fructis is a pretty good brand, and the conditioner is nice and thick. Also, try not to rince all of it out so it leaves your hair somewhat smooth. When you brush it, don't rip it, be gentle. Good Luck!
Try Curls Rocks after you wash for a natural but tamed look! Rusk Shine is great for straightening. Both of these are a bit pricey but you get what you pay for!
    try using Dr. Miracles
Silk Drops from FX Special Effects. You can get it at Walgreens, CVS, etc. You'll love it!
try ion%26lt;shampoo %26amp; conditioner that straightens, my hair is just like yours and is almost impossible to deal with. as for styling, get your hair wet and then style. if you want to straighten it, make sure you use lots of gel.
friz ease works it comes in gells hair spray and shampoo and conditioner
Pantene is definently the best. Protects from damage too!
IF U ARE BLACK THERE IS NOTHIN U CAN DO BUT IF UR HISPANIC USE TRESSEME SHAMPOO AND BUY A CHI STRAIGHTNER AND THEIR PRODUCTS.

What is the best hair style u can think of and what shampoo???

What is the hottest and newest hairstyle for school????What is the best hair style u can think of and what shampoo???
A shoulder-length flippy razored cut is very in these days and is almost universally flattering to any face shape or hair color. As for shampoo, it depends more on your hair type, but I use Herbal Esences personally and can can recommend it. My hair is really fine and I use the one that's supposed to give extra body. I've tried a number of shampoos, but of all the ones I've found available in places like the supermarket (rather than a salon or someplace pricier) this is the only one that's actually given my hair more body. What is the best hair style u can think of and what shampoo???
Best hairstyle depends on the length %26amp; texture of your hair. Whether it's curly or straight or wavy, thick or thin... Just make sure you use a decent leave-in product for shine %26amp; smoothness. Never apply your leave-in products to your scalp though. That'll weigh it down. Best shampoo... My hair is SUPER fine and has abesolutly NO volume. It is about shoulder length with layers, but if i did not tell you you would not know that they were there. Any ideas for an inexpensive shampoo and conditioner that will not weigh my hair down while giving it volume, and a hair style that will make it look great?Volumizing shampoo and a great style?

    Do NOT get sunslilk anti-flat

that does not work . i have used with experinece thinking i was going to look great, but it does nothing at all.

ok remember to buy a big brush one of those that have the brush around the whole brush buy a medium size since your hair is short.

ok good luck, i am with you volumizing hair is great for styling and i love it,

    wish you the best
herbal essence volumizing conditioner (and shampoo)
first of all my hair is exactly the opposite of yours but the shampoo and conditioner i use is aussie. Aussie has shampoos and cond. for volumizing, smoothing, and even frizz control. My hair feels so light and soft because of aussie. You could even get a leave-in cond. to keep your hair from losing its control in heat and humidity. You also need to look for the right brush for your hair. By the the way if your hair is Super long you should cut it shorter to give it more definition.
Try Garnier Fructis and look for the volumizing shampoo. Also try the stuff thats in the circular bottle, its also Garnier Fructis but i forget the technical name for it. I have fine hair as well so I know what your talking about.

Best shampoo and what's your scrunching style?

Grocery store shampoo makes your hair LOOK shiny because it is a bad product that coats your hair with wax! I recommend Biolage hydrating shampoo and fortifying conditioner. People make a big deal because it costs so much, but it actually costs the same. Since it's a better product you don't have to use nearly as much of it!

Shampoo for your hair type or for your hair style?

I have naturally curly hair but I straighten it most of the time. Should I buy shampoo for curly or straight hair?

Just something I've been wondering.... Thanks!Shampoo for your hair type or for your hair style?
Try the John Frieda straightening collection of shampoos and conditioners. They also have good styling tools and stuff.Shampoo for your hair type or for your hair style?
It's all about what hair style you want. You should get the shampoo for straight hair. Think about it this way, if you buy the shampoo for curly hair, it will only maximize the effect of your curls. Get the one for straight hair.
Hair type, curly hair needs moisture to keep it healthy.
You should buy shampoo for curly hair because that's the type of hair you naturally have :)

Pantene pro v shampoo/conditioner causes build-up, but i don't use any styling products...

like gel, mousse, leave in conditioners, hairsprays, heat protectors, etc. so will the shampoo and conditioner cause build-up in my hair still??Pantene pro v shampoo/conditioner causes build-up, but i don't use any styling products...
    Switch shampoo...try WEN...its not really shampoo...but it is soo good...Pantene pro v shampoo/conditioner causes build-up, but i don't use any styling products...
I was told a long time ago to always have 2 brands of shampoo and conditioner on hand. One that is your daily user, and one to use just one day out of the week to ward off any build up. That is a lesson that I have always used for the past 25 years, and I dont seem to have any build up issues. I have Grand Fruiticis (sp) and Pantene Pro V in my shower stall.

I have no idea what you're talking about.

But shampoo and conditioner should never cause buildup.

Try switching to a different shampoo.

It could be that you have a oily scalp, or your dead skin cells are building up. Try using a good clarifying shampoo and see how it works out.

  • Can I use a different brand styling product than the brand shampoo/conditioner that I use?

I use Garnier Fructis Shampoo and Conditioner. I've been looking for a product which would define or enhance the natural wavy curls of my hair. I was looking at Aussie's Catch the Wave leave in conditioner + mousse that is supposed to do just that. Would it be okay to use Aussie and Garnier products on my hair?

Also, if I should stick to Garnier, which product do you suggest for what I want to do? Or, if I can go with Aussie, do you think the product I named would be the right one?

Thanks! Can I use a different brand styling product than the brand shampoo/conditioner that I use?
they only say for you to use the same shampoo/products because they want to make more money! i don't think it makes any difference on how good they work. I think that the Aussie product sounds great, I love leave-in conditioners!

What is a really good quality shampoo/conditioner and hair styling products?

Right now I'm using Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner. I use Garnier Fructis styling products as well. Both the shampoo and conditioner and styling products makes my hair soft and shiny and everything, but I want to try out something else to see if it's better.

I heard that stuff like Pantene Pro-V is bad for your hair because of the silicone in it, so I don't want anything like that.

What's a really good brand of hair products that offer shampoo, conditioner, styling products, you know.... like everything! I don't know why but I like sticking to one brand of things, so the head and shoulders and garnier fructis thing bothers me a little haha.

This might help with you answering this question: I usually style my hair straight, so something that maybe protects against head or adds moisture to hair? Also, something that enhances ceramic performance and adds shine. Is there anything I can get like this at CVS or grocery stores for a fairly cheep price?

Thanks so much! =)What is a really good quality shampoo/conditioner and hair styling products?
    Aussie or Redken .

There's different categories for each like smooth , straight , curly...

so pick whichever is best for you! What is a really good quality shampoo/conditioner and hair styling products?
Loreal Elvive Shampoo and Conditioner for dry hair.

I used to have really dry hair from straightening it almost everyday. I found a sample of Elvive in a magazine and I tried it. After that, my hair was the shiniest and softest it had been in ages.
    Hi, Friend

First of all, I want to say you Head and Shoulders shampoo and conditioner is best in the world. it is depend on you what you want for your hair, long hair. if you want long hair, Try herbal shampoo.

tresemme it works very well they have diff kinds like for damaged hair or if u want more vloume or whatevr it works really good or loreal vive or herbal essences they help make your hair glossy and make your hair smell good for the rest of the day
dove shampoo, conditioner (and body wash if you want)

    i use garnier too

    also aussie's products are good

If you want a generic brand the best one I've ever used is ';Hello Hydration'; by Herbal Essences. The Shampoo is gentle and the Conditioner makes your hair feel so soft (and smell AMAZING too).

DON'T USE HEAD AND SHOULDERS SHAMPOO. It's not pH balanced and contains a lot of drying ingredients, unless you have dandruff you don't need it.

A good salon brand is Purology, or Matrix. I love them both and have always had great results with them.

My Favorite Hair Spray: BIG AND SEXY hair it's in a big red bottle

My favorite hair protector for straightening and stuff: Matrix Vavoom Gold Heat. AMAZING STRAIGHTENING PRODUCT you've gotta try it once, and it protects you hair :)

hmm I've never been much of a Gel person but if you ever want to scrunch your hair Stiff @#!% Kick A$$ curls is great!

A great mask for repairing your hair is Bed Head Dumb Blonde..

hmm that's my favorites I think
oh that is really not true what you just wrote about a pantene pro-v. when i read your question i was about to suggest u for pantene pro-v. out of all the products that ive used ive felt the huge difference, and very satisfied with pantene. my hair is frizzy and color treated and i used garnier , head and shoulder , non of them worked. my hair is getting better by pantene. it gives shine and a silkiness. i use pantene shampoo and a conditioner; it makes softer and i just got this pantene hair cream and i feel very good with the product, a 2 days ago i bought this hair cream triple moisture. it disappointed me. it just disappear no matter how much u put on your hair, i hate it. the pantene is cheaper too, the cream just cost me 5$. and i think you shouldnt straighten your hair everyday. i have the same problem as yours. i cant find the cream that protects my hair. nothing can protect from heat so its better not to. i just got this new idea. i washed my hair with the product and applied some pantene hair cream in the damp hair and i used a wrap, snap and go; a kind of roller that i got in 10$. just leave it for 5 or 10 minutes no more than that. u can walk with nice curly hair. youll save your time and also wont damage your hair. hope i helped you.

I use Head %26amp; Shoulders 2-in-1 and I dry my hair with just a towel and it's wavy throughout the whole day.

    Hope this helps.
Have you tried curl enhancing shampoo? That works for me, helps keep the frizzies away. Also, i know this sounds stupid, but dirty hair is actually easier to style because it is heavier. By dirty I don't mean DIRTY, but don't wash your hair everyday, switch to every other day. The natural oils from your scalp will help to naturally weight your hair down a little bit and make it easier to manage without all the fly-aways. This is an old pageant trick for great hear days.
Pantene Pro-V, Suave, or head and shoulders ^_^ (They work for me)
I use random shampoos with Garnier Fructis conditioner. Sometimes, when I do want to make sure my hair looks less frizzy or with more body or something, I use Suave, or a Paul Mitchell one (which I didn't buy, just got from a friend when she moved). Usually, though, I have no problem with the random shampoos (which my mother and I have collected from hotels; The conditioner was a free after rebate offer from Walgreens). I wash my hair, brush it out (I brush the sides from going under, then flip it all to one side then to another to brush, then flip it over to brush), towel dry it while scrunching it (using the same method as the brushing), brush it out again, then scrunch it with my fingers, then brush it again. When I put it in place (I have shoulder length hair) I brush it from underneath again, then the top layer (using a finer brstile brush to smooth it more) and brush the ends under and am done.

It looks good and since I don't blow dry it and I only wash it two or three times a week, I have little hair damage. (It also helps that I eat a diet rich in whole foods.)
use that shampoo thats on that movie something about marry. it seems to have good hold. oh that was hair gel sorry .
shampoo cannot style your hair, you need hair style products such as hair gel, hair mousse and hair spray!!!! you need hair curler too....
haha loser why do you need a natural wavy look to keep up with people. shampoos that claim they can give you a natural wavy look are for losers who can't be bothered to put in the hard work in the morning.

Your favorite shampoo, conditioner, and/or styling product and why you like it(them)?

conditioner: herbal essences straight stuff- smells good and makes your hair really smooth

styling product: dream drops- makes your hair really soft and non-frizzy even after you straighten itYour favorite shampoo, conditioner, and/or styling product and why you like it(them)?
well i have used just about EVERY product out there and nothing has worked as good as aussie shampoo and conditioner!! i use it because i have dry hair since i straighten it ALL the time but its best to use the conditioner that goes with the product since its designed to work with the shampoo Report Abuse

I LOVE Sunsilk de-frizz (the green kind). It makes my hair shiny and smooth and the curls really stand out nicely. The 24/7 creme also works really well. And as an added bonus, it smells really good!
Garnier Fructis Sleek 'n' Shine shampoo and leave-in-conditioner, and the super-strong molding wax. I tried using the Pantene Relaxed and Natural, but I have to say, when I was using Garnier Fructis, my hair wasn't breaking, it looked healthier, and grew in faster. I love it!
    Paul Mitchell SUPER SKINNY

i have ';straight as a board'; hair and it is about 2 feet long...it helps keep my hair shiny, smooth, with minimal fly aways and helps control the static where I don't have ANY as long as i use this shampoo and conditioner!

i found it worked on my hair about 4 years ago, and I cannot live without it...i have a running stock so that if they discontinue it, i'm pretty darn safe! lol
I like Pantene's ice shine shampoo and conditioner, Garnier Fructis' curl %26amp; shine shampoo %26amp; conditioner. They work really nice for my wavy hair and keep in moisturized.
My favorite hair care products are Dr. Miracles, Doo Gro, and Mane 'N Tail.

They all do what it claims it does. Nice head full of healthy hair. Thick, plenty of body also helps promote hair growth.
like bumble and buble...smells good and works lol

  • Question about shampoo's, conditioners, and styling products. professional answers please?

Ok, so there is so much going around about good and bad shampoo's and i wanted to get real answers. First of all, if alcohol is so bad for your hair and dries it out, why is there cetyl and stearyl alcohol in almost every product? if they are tryign to moisturize the hair, why in the world would you put it in your product? I was recently told that the A/G brand is so much better for your hair because it has no alchol but i looked on the ingredients and it has both of those.

secondly, they say there is silicone in pantene pro V, and all i could find was an ingredient called ';Dimethicone';. Now, ive been useing a salon brand called Lanza, which has 'silicone' in it. my hair feels good after this, unlike after useing pantene pro V.is silicone really bad for your hair?or does it depend on the type?

lastly, sulfate is harsh for your hair, but do sulfate free formulas cleanse well enough?Question about shampoo's, conditioners, and styling products. professional answers please?
The alcohols that you mentioned are used to thicken the shampoo and give it its consistancy. Professional products are going to be better. If you can't afford professional I would try L'OReal products they make them professional and for the public. The shampoos that you cleanse with are made to strip excess oils from your hair and it is a good idea to always follow with a good conditioner after cleansing.Question about shampoo's, conditioners, and styling products. professional answers please?
The alcohol that you are referring to is a food grade to help preserve products. Otherwise they have a very short shelf life and can spoil. Some products don't have any in them or not as much. The closer the word alcohol is to the front of the list of ingredients the more there is in there. A G is a good brand. So is Phytologie. A natural French line. Your second question, silicone is not bad for your hair. It can coat the hair making it feel silky and easier to come out. There are different grades, qualities of these products. Like Hershey chocolate and Godiva. Both are chocolate but they don't taste the same and don't cost the same. Unless you are only shampooing a few times a week and really having a dirty scalp and a lot of product on the hair- you only need to gently clean your hair and scalp. So many people over shampoo.

What's a good shampoo+conditioner and styling products fo' me?

My hair is pretty thick, and it's naturally straight, and can get frizzy.

It is coarse underneath but silky soft and fine on top.

And it's a little bit damaged, and I straighten%26amp;blowdry it everyday.

i would try pantine and herbal essence i have used them both and i found out that they work best for me. you just need to kind of experiment with them see what one is making the most improvment for your hair . oh and for the straightening and blowdrying i use 'got2b' crazy sleek . it works really well its a lotion for your hair thats heat activated. i never thought my hair could feel or look so good with anything but this proved me wrong. its about $5 or $6 not exactly sure.
i love ur hair espically in pic 2, the color and that its straight. no offense but i can never have my hair any shorter than it is now. its up to my waist. but use Hairapy Sunsilk Hydra TLC

I use salon stuff, it's more expensive but chep stuff CAN wreck your hair. it happened to me :(. you can get cheaper salon stuff and london drugs. Also don't wash your hair everyday it damages ti. wash it every other day but just put a shower cap on.
    You're gorgeous :-)

I'd recommend Bed Head (by Tigi) Control freak or moisture maniac shampoo and conditioner. It's not cheap, but the results are really amazing! :-)
you should use pantene always smooth or ice shine. they tame frizz so well, even without blowdrying or straightening. if you wash your hair at night with this and then sleep on it, it tames frizz even better!
Stop straightening and blow-drying your hair... It damages your it...
Pantene works wonders. I LOVE IT. It's perfect for anybody.
I love Pantene and Dove. They both work amazing! Good luck and btw your hair's gorgeous!
tresseme then use redken outshine. or dove silky and straight.
    I LUV UR HAIR
My all time favorite haircare line is Nexxus. It is a salon product but can be be bought at Walmart and CVS. I think your hair would benefit from Nexxus Therappe Shampoo, Nexxus Humectress Conditioner and Nexxus Heat Protexx Styling Spray. If Nexxus is too pricey (I personally have to fall back to a cheaper brand when I can't manage to buy Nexxus.) I also like Pantene. I think the Repair and Protect line would work well for you. They also have a Smooth and Sleek line but I believe the reason your hair tends to be frizzy is due to damage so I would go with the Repair and Protect line. I also would not use anymore sun in, it is soooo damaging. I think yor hair is beautiful by the way. I wish mine was that thick!
I cant see the pictures darling.

But i reccomend pantene pro v. it fixes all the damage and makes your hair silky

Herbal Essences, Pantene, Tresemme or Dove work great. Other than Shampoo and Conditioner check out this video to help with your damaged hair. It gives some GREAT tips on how to grow healthy, shiny, and long hair.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=-Vu80ljcIPgGood shampoo+conditioner and styling products for my hair?
you definitely need to put a heat protecter in your hair before BLOW DRYING , not before flat ironing. i would suggest catwalk TIGI fashionista smooth %26amp; shine. dont use a whole lot though. also, if you blow dry your hair everyday , invest in an ionic hairdryer. as for shampoo and conditioner , i would recommend using biolage. i would NOT put any product in your hair other than the heat protectant before you blow dry. if you INSIST on using another product , opt for joiwhip mousse.
My hair is that same way. I usually buy my haircare products at the salon. I use biolage hair serum and just recently bought Nexxus shampoo and conditioner(the kind to straighten hair) at the grocery store at12.95 each and it has totally made my hair straight, shiny and wonderful. I have had people come up and ask what i've done different and that is the only thing. No one was more surprised than me!

btw Bed head hair spray smells like grapefruit(yummy!)
thanks, im probably not going to order offline though, but i will check out sally's.

about your hair, it looks super good. i always liked sunsilk with the added TLC. it smells good, and it leaves hair ultra smooth. but...with styling products, i don't know since i don't used much, but i know garnier fructisse has a whole bunch%26lt;%26lt;and it also smells good!! especially with the leave in conditioners and anti frizz stuff.
id kill to have your hair!! how long did it take u to grow it out?

you should go to sallys beauty and by this spray that protects your hair when u blow dry it and straighten it pray it on before you do so. or i have both products but another is anti breakage detangler you can find at walmart.

    hope i helped!!
its gonna be hard, try to straighten ur hair only once or twice a week. and once a week try some pantene hair mask. it really makes it soft, not frizze, and makes it feel like silk. if you live close to the ocean with a lot of humidity, try some pantene pro-v against frizz. before u blowdry or straighten use some tres semme heat tamer.
    it looks good,

but to stop damage and repait it. get some hair repair product like pantene rejuvinate, and don't bloe dry ur hair unhtill it is almost dry, as this will cut down you drying time, helping stop damage. and get a goood straightner that doesn't cause as much damage for every day use. and b4 u straighten use a heat protection product, b4 u blow dry too
    beautiful hair!!!

I use this stuff called bio-silk to make my hair shiny and soft looking. It could work for you to since you blow dry and flat iron your hair a lot.

Hope you find something that works for you.

thanks for answering my question :)
Treseme are brilliant and so is pantane
aw ur so cute but yah use tres emm茅 and put in wet hair this serum: La COupe, shine %26amp; smooth, sleek. It works super well for defrizzing and stuff. BY the way is she ur twin sister??
    I like using herbal shampoos.

It is something to think about?
you and your friend are sooooooo cute anways try treseme or pantene or head and shoulders
welll i dont really know BUT you are super cute!
You look just like my sister. lol. Hope you are nicer than her though. She mocks me for freezing to death in London - well it is cold compared to her LA.

I mostly use what ever the maid gets, but the in(fus)ium 23 stuff works really well on black hair, I don't know how it will fair, excuse the pun, on yours tho'

PS. yes, you are very attractive... I like your friend in the first pic too.

Still, you shouldn't be putting your picture up online for all to see; you need to be a little more cautious and try not to plaster your pretty face all over the web. You wanted someone to tell you about you hair, well the picture should only have your hair. blur the face or something.

I'm not trying to lecture you like your guardian, but you've got to be much more careful. The web is the wild west, you needn't to assume that all people her are trust worth, because they're nawt.

If I use styling products, how can I wash my hair until it's my shampoo day? Shampoo 2-3/week?

Normally, shampooing your hair is like 2-3 times a week. Let's say on my non- washing day I use styling products on my hair, do I have to wait until the day I have to shampoo my hair(but I will have all those chemicals/residue if I wait) or I should wash my hair with every styling products I use?If I use styling products, how can I wash my hair until it's my shampoo day? Yes you should wait on the day you shampoo(wash) your hair.

    Shampoo/conditioner/hair styling recommendations?

My hair is really curly, dry, long (4 inchs past shoulders) ,damaged ends, FRIZZY, and has alot of volume which makes hard to manage.

I have tryed pantene, garneir fructuis, Aussie, herbeal essence and others but nothing seems to work. PLEASE HELP!!!!Shampoo/conditioner/hair styling recommendations?
I'm in the same boat as you. I have the exact same hair type. I've tried all the ones you have too. The latest one I tried was Tre Semme and it's not working either.

I guess we may just have to try a more expensive product like at salons. I used the Bumble and Bumble shampoos and conditioners before and I loved them! Kind of expensive though.Shampoo/conditioner/hair styling recommendations?
use pantene pro-v restorative frizz control shampoo + conditioner

i used it and i always get compliments on how silky and smooth my hair is
For shampoo and conditioner, use something you bought from a salon. Even though salon products are expensive, they do work.

Otherwise, use dove shampoo and conditioner (with moisturizing milk). It really helps your hair to be silky and soft. You should buy a damage repair or extra moisture shampoo.

Try john Frieda Frizz-Ease, and treat your hair to deep conditioning every week.

Also, if you have split ends you might want to consider cutting just the ends off. Split ends rob the hair of it's length.

If i use garnier styling products just i use garnier shampoo too?

ok because i had curly hair i and i bought sunsilk for the curls now i just got my first relaxer now!! my hair is straight so should i use garneir shampoo and condniter or sunsilk(but i'll get a ndifferent kind of sunsilk) thanks which..one sunsilk or garier i love and use bothIf i use garnier styling products just i use garnier shampoo too?
i think you should use sunsilk. i have personally used garnier shampoo and conditioner, and i dont like it that much. but there styling prodects are really good :)If i use garnier styling products just i use garnier shampoo too?
Personally, I'd say get a better brand period. but since I'm gonna take a guess and say you're kind of budgeted go with Sunsilk, any stylist will tell you not to use Garnier, but if you like it more power to you. Also don't think that because you use one brand of shampoo you have to use the same brand of styling products or even the same brand of conditioner for that matter.
Honestly, they pretty much all do the same thing. But Sunsilk is an awsome brand. I use it daily!
I prefer sunsilk because I think they have a wider range of products, and think it is presented better than garnier.

Sunsilk also seems more exclusive, and my hair feels better after using sunsilk compared to garnier.

Although I might add, I am probably biased because I have a sensitive scalp and garnier makes it go really bad and flaky - so on that note sunsilk might also be better for your scalp?

  • Whats the best line of shampoo, conditioner, and styling creme type stuff for making your hair soft/shiny?

like brilliant bruntte, pantene, garnier.... ??

thankyouWhats the best line of shampoo, conditioner, and styling creme type stuff for making your hair soft/shiny?
Non of the above. Pantene is the worst shampoo and will damage your hair so that is my first advise. Second You need a salon brand like Redkens all soft shampoo and conditioner, you will love it. There is a whole like in the smooth down for styling also. Hope I helped and pass the word about how horrible Pantene is, it should really be removed from all stores. Please add me to your contacts and email me w/ any hair questions you have via yahoo answers.Whats the best line of shampoo, conditioner, and styling creme type stuff for making your hair soft/shiny?
    Pantene
Pantene Ice Shine. it is the best product I've found in may yrs. it really works the way it says it does. my hair is soft and shiny. my hair was very frizzy, but with the shampoo, conditioner and moose, no more frizz.
pureology is the best, but it's pricey.

enjoy is also great. try their luxury shampoo. its fantastic.

for shine, KMS silk therapy plus is amazing. its similar to biosilk, but its cheaper and feather light.
pantene, that stuff really works specially the new one the one that says it'll restore damage of 2 years in 2 months, good stuff
    Let's see.

It depends on your hair right now.

If you have oily hair, you might wanna get something that controls that.

Try Garnier Fructis, or Pantene Pro-V. Maybe even Tresseme.

Some Hair creams would probably be like, Dove Straight and Soft.

You can get a spray kinda thing that makes you hair look shiny.

It's called Studio Line shine spray.

Well, Pantene is known to be the worst you can use, but it is great for a lot of people's hair.

A really great kind is Herbel Essence. Try the bottle that says anything about what you are looking for (shiny/soft)
i use herbal essenses it makes your hair shiny and soft and it smells good...for extra shine and softness i use bedhead brand creams you can get them at hair salons.
i like dove shammpoo or...um sorry i kind of forgot.
pureology really helps your hair to be softer and shinier the also have other products than shampoo like so curly or straight out that really works and they also add volume to your hair you can get them at almost any saloon
why would you have brilliant brunette if your blonde...
Garnier Frutice ( i think thats how its spelled) its a green bottle. sleek and shine system.

What would be the best shampoo and style for my hair? (10 points)?

It's straight light brown hair with a tiny fliip at the end. It looks good up and my actual hairs are fine but I just have a lot of it so I end up with fine, thick hair. It's not overly thick though.

No side bangs but layers. I'm growing it out then possibly getting sidebangs but until thenWhat would be the best shampoo and style for my hair? (10 points)?
i like herbal essences shampoo. I have thin hair and use the volumizing one (yellow-orange bottle), but my hair isn't thick. my sister has thick hair, but not thin hair, and likes to use the straight hair shampoo (pink bottle). I really like sidebangs as a hairstyle. I recently got them, and they look good, except i think that mine are a little too wispy, but that is because i don't have that much hair. If you have a little more hair than i do, which it sounds like, then they'll probably look really cute on you

    Do ';styling'; shampoos really work?

I've noticed that more and more brands have shampoos and conditioners designed to make certain styles, like straight, curly, wavy hair, etc. Do those actually make it easier to achieve a certain style, or does it all depend on the products you use after you've washed your hair?Do ';styling'; shampoos really work?
All those products are for hair that is already curly or wavy or straight. It won't do much for hair that isn't like what it says on the bottle.

What should you tip for a good shampoo, hair cut and style?

I can never get a straight answer on this. A woman's hair cut isn't inexpensive so do you tip a set amount or a percentage or what? What should you tip for a good shampoo, hair cut and style?
Im a stylist and if you do the whole cut wash blowdry your looking at a 5-10 dollar tip its a lot of work and time consuming and also use your judgment if you dont pay more than 12 dollars for your service then 5 dollars is a good amountWhat should you tip for a good shampoo, hair cut and style?
15-20% of the bill for the service. 15% if you are satisfied, more if you are really happy.

BTW, if another person shampoos your hair - give them $2-3 %26amp; then tip the stylist 15% or so.

Ok folks, if you don't put any styling stuff in your hair, how often should u shampoo and condition your hair

I don't use anything other than leave in-conditioners and maybe a curl enhancing mousse every now and then. should I be conditioning more than shampooing, if I haven't used anything in my hair.Ok folks, if you don't put any styling stuff in your hair, how often should u shampoo and condition your hair
I shampoo every 2 days b'cuz shompooing can really dry out ur hair but i use conditioner every day!!!!!Ok folks, if you don't put any styling stuff in your hair, how often should u shampoo and condition your hair
I shampoo my hair every other day. Otherwise it gets so greasy I can't stand it. I harldy ever use conditioner. All it ever did anyway was make it a bit easier to comb out. It won't style right for me. Not at the lenght it is at now.
    every other day........
Hair gets dirty from activity-- are you outside running aound ?--

Hair can absorb dirt/odors - are you in a smog filled city or smoke?

Wash daily if extremely active~ every other day if not... Condition more frequently in summer...
    r u cute? nvm... 4 times a day! you?
I do it every day just because I am in dance and I get sweaty cuz we work our butts off! =)
I use shampoo every day. Never used anything else.
Of course this depends on your age and hair type. If you're in your teens, you're probably oily. Then you should shampoo every day. If you're not oily, every other day is good enough. Since your hair is short (if you look like your avatar) you could just use a little conditioner, a little dab about the size of a nickel in your palm will do.
every other day shampooing more because it cleans and gets red of oil
I wash my hair every week, but now that I have braids in, it'll probably be in 2 weeks. God bless you.
Every other day depending on how much oil your scalp has!
Well Shampooing all the time will dry out your hair so i would definatly condition more. I would shampoo every two days.
Then it depends on how long your hair is and how much you sweat if you have long hair your should wash it 3 times a week, short hair you should wash it 2 times a week but it is not good to wash your hair everyday bcuz you can take out all the natural stuff in your hair
