I always just get a shampoo, straigten @ my salon what other style would work?

i am Nigerian and i am trying 2 grow out my hair natural. but it gets sooo hard! what can i do 2 keep up the natural style and not cave and resort 2 perms? and instead of just getting my hair straightened, what other style can i get that will last at least 2 weeks until i go back to the salon? my hair rests like right at the bottom of my neck and what products and utensils can i use to keep up my style? i need major major help so if u know ANYTHING please please give me your suggestions!I always just get a shampoo, straigten @ my salon what other style would work?
